Two men in separate cars shot while driving on Sagtikos Parkway
Two men driving in separate vehicles on the Sagtikos State Parkway early Friday morning were shot by the “occupant of another vehicle,” Suffolk police say.
It happened while the two drivers, both 24 years old and “related to one another” were heading northbound near Pine Aire Drive in Brentwood.
Suffolk police say one man drove to the Second Precinct in Huntington. He was then taken to South Shore University Hospital for a gunshot wound to the lower back.
The other man drove to Huntington Hospital for “treatment of gunshot wounds to the wrist and thigh.”
Details surrounding how the incident unfolded or who may be responsible were not immediately available.
News 12 reported last month about an early morning shooting by someone inside a car traveling in an unknown direction on Commack Road. A man was struck by gunfire and later drove himself to South Shore University Hospital for treatment.
