Following an investigation, Torrey Brown, who police say has no permanent address but is originally from Queens, was taken into custody. Detectives seized cellphones, a knife and what police state as "other evidence.”
Brown, 35, is charged with sex trafficking, attempted prostitution and promoting prostitution, as well as for a parole warrant issued by the New York State Police. He is set to be arraigned at the First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
