The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is paying off mortgages for families of America's heroes as part of their 2024 Season of Hope.
This year, the foundation is delivering over 40 mortgage-free homes to deserving recipients nationwide by Christmas Eve.
The foundation's efforts are providing peace of mind to families like those of Army Specialist Daniel Fuentes and Army Specialist Louis Vazquez, who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
Fuentes was killed by an IED in 2007, leaving behind his pregnant fiancée and her daughter.
Vazquez died in January 2023 due to service-related leukemia after being exposed to toxic burn pits in Afghanistan, leaving behind a wife and daughter.
“That very often is the family's largest financial burden. And by lifting that burden, hopefully those families can get on the path to healing,” says Larry Olson of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
