It was a warm welcome home for a volunteer firefighter from Rockland County who is battling cancer.
Chris Healy, of Piermont, is being treated for leukemia. The 28-year-old served nearly a decade as a volunteer with the Piermont Fire Department and a few years with a local ambulance corp.
Doctors have now allowed Healy to have outpatient care. The fire department came out in full force to welcome him home.
Healey is currently looking for a bone marrow donor. More information about how to become one can be found HERE.
