Wear your green and save some green this St. Patrick's day.
News 12 is taking a look at the cost of celebrating the holiday and where you can save some money.
The Irish Mini Mart in The Bronx is stocked with brands like Tayto and Keogh. The manager, Ali Murshed, says they work to keep prices low to keep customers coming back.
He took News 12 around the store pointing out the deals they offer saying, "The Pat Bread, we sell $5.99."
Bread that pairs well with corned beef and cabbage. According to The Consumer Price Index from The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, meat and egg prices are up 6.1%. Vegetable prices are only up 0.3%, so maybe go heavy on the cabbage.
