The annual Beth Davis Rose of Hope Tennis Tournament raised funds for breast cancer research and care at the Norma Pfriem Breast Center in Bridgeport.
The event honors Fairfield resident Beth Davis, who lost her battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Mollie Milano of the Norma Pfriem Breast Center emphasized the importance of mammograms and community support.
"I hope that they get their mammograms, I hope that they tell their friends and families to get their mammograms, and I hope they have a good time in the name of a cause that is really important," said Milano.
The tournament takes place annually at Brooklawn Country Club, where Davis was a member.
