A 17-year-old boy is facing charges connected with the deadly shooting of a teen girl in Edison, according to officials.
Middlesex County prosecutors say police received a 911 call reporting a shooting inside a home on Grove Avenue around 1 a.m. Saturday.
Upon arrival, officers found the 17-year-old victim dead of a gunshot wound.
Authorities say the suspect, a Plainfield resident, was taken into custody at the scene.
The suspect and the victim knew each other prior to the incident, according to officials.
No other details have been released.
