A teenage boy was assaulted and robbed Monday afternoon in New Windsor near Old Forge Hill Road and Provost Drive, according to police.
Officers arrived just before 3 p.m. and found a 17-year-old who said he was attacked by a group of boys who also stole his backpack. Police later recovered the backpack after it was discarded from a vehicle.
Investigators tracked down the car and arrested five people inside: Jahreek Griffin, Willie Cousar, Terence Walker, and two 17-year-old boys. All five were charged with two counts of robbery.
