The TeamBrent foundation was honored at the James Taylor concert on Thursday.
TeamBrent was formed in honor of Fairfield resident Brent McCreesh, who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma.
It was created in 2005 to battle and raise awareness of childhood cancer.
The foundation has raised and donated over $11 million to research and resources.
Dana and Mike McCreesh, Brent's parents, started the foundation when he was diagnosed with cancer at just 2 years old.
He beat it, but the family says the fight continues.
When Brent McCreesh was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma, he was given a 15% to 20% chance of survival. Brent has turned 22 this year.
