An 18-year-old college student from Greenwich is reportedly among two students who have been charged with a hate crime following an incident at Syracuse University.
Kyle Anderson reportedly drove another student to a traditionally Jewish fraternity house that was having a Rosh Hashanah dinner Tuesday. Authorities say the other person then threw a bag of meat, which was believed to be pork, into the home.
Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick
said the two have been charged with burglary as a hate crime and criminal nuisance. The hate crime change was because the incident happened on a Jewish holiday at a historically Jewish fraternity.
