Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Sam Augeri says temperatures could reach into the 90s by the end of the workweek.
HEADLINES:
  • The worst of the heat will be away from the water North and West of Long Island.
  • No heat advisory for Long Island and we will not have record heat but parts of Long Island (Northwest Nassau and Northwest Suffolk) could see a heat wave Wednesday through Friday.
  • Hot and humid weather early in the season to kick off summer on Thursday.
  • Next chance for scattered showers is late Sunday
