        STORM WATCH: Stormy weather makes its way out of the Bronx; warmer weather for end of the week

        News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Julian Seawright says Wednesday night will see scattered strong to severe thunderstorms arrive. Timing is after 8 p.m. through 5 a.m. Thursday morning.
        Can't rule out a pop-up storm before 8 p.m. Beaches will be at the highest risk as a sea breeze comes in this afternoon. Heavy rain, damaging winds, small hail, thunder and lightning will impact any outdoor evening plans. Tree damage, downed powerlines and localized street flooding is likely tonight.
        NEXT: A comfortably warm Friday with plenty of sunshine. Highs in the 70s, near 80 degrees. This weekend is trending wetter than drier. It will feel warmer, humid with a chance of showers/storms on Saturday and Sunday.
        An air quality alert is in effect through 11 p.m. tonight for sensitive groups. An unhealthy AQI over 100 will impact people with asthma and respiratory issues.
        OVERNIGHT: Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are likely overnight. Main threats will be high to damaging winds 50-60 MPH and heavy downpours. Rain showers will linger until sunrise. Lows will be in the low 70s.
        THURSDAY: Any lingering showers will end by sunrise, clouds will clear in the afternoon and it won't be as warm or humid. Highs in the middle 80s. Lows in the middle 60s.
        FRIDAY - PICK OF THE WEEK: Pleasant, sunny and comfortable. Highs near 80 degrees. Lows near 70 degrees.
        THE WEEKEND: Saturday will still be a bit on the pleasant side with clouds building in the evening hours. Highs will be in the low 80s with developing showers at night. Sunday will be warmer and muggy, there is a chance for scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening.
        MONDAY: Sunny, warm and less humid. Breezy. Highs near 82. Lows near 67.
        TUESDAY: Bright, nice and warm. Highs near 80. Lows near 66.
