You said it was open for the last five years? Actually, I came here 56, like almost five years. So that area like no, any business around here only for the garages. So that's why I'm thinking I want to bring here. I did the restaurant business. So I think I want to open the variety store but like everything like a kids item. Si see, you have a lot of kids items here. So I want to get to this table right now. We have a lot of back to school items here. There's a ton of crayons, pens, we have backpacks over to our right ton of jewelry. Just tell me a little bit about what you guys are doing for back to school. Real quick. Actually all the stuff for the kids we have. So, but the neighborhood especially they have money. Yeah. Yeah, definitely. All right. Well, sorry, we have to wrap right now. That's right, Christy because we're on your block this summer here on 12 or 12, Lindsay, he joins us from the LW African Market on Third Avenue. Yeah, Lindsey, I heard they're known for their fresh baked bread. Any chance you could bring some back. I'm sure we could bring some back because there is a lot of fresh bread right here. But I'm with the owner of the LW African Market, Mamadou. It's so great to see you here. Tell me what makes this market so special. This market is special. I try this to more business to give customer a new flavor of the business. Some customer call my bread, Italian bread. It's not Italian bread. Some call it French bread. It's the African bread. It's a special flavor. So my customer love it. I am happy about it. So we're talking about this bread. You said it's a special flour. What about the taste? Makes it so delicious. They test because we have our own secret to make the bread. So we do this for over 15 years and now we know it and we do a special for customer to test it. Well, I can't wait to try this secret. We cut a piece right here for me. I'm going to take a try. Look how amazing that looks. I'm just going to hop right into here. Oh my God. Oh my God. One on the outside. Soft on the inside. Amazing. I don't know if you guys heard that crunch. I'm gonna send it back to you guys in the studio and then I'm gonna chew this bread, cut a piece, the LW African market. Of course, of course.

And more this morning. Yeah, we are news, Lindsay Tan is of the Family Childcare Network with the CEO and program director. So we can hear more about what this network has to offer. Lindsay. I even see some kids in the background. Yeah, of course. That's exactly right. So I'm here with Ivy Brown. She's the CEO and program director of the Family Child Care Network. So Ivy tell us a little bit about what resources you guys can give these families. Right. So we were, we are the Marana Utopia Resource Center and we provide services to provide home based providers and families here in the South Bronx. So how does it feel to be helping so many families here in the Bronx? Well, of us, since the pandemic, you know, our parents are having a difficult time finding child care services. And so we are happy to be part of their main resources here in South Bronx. And are there any resources for the parents as well? Yes. So we have the food pantry where we deal with food insecurities so you can share a few more of our resources. Yeah, we also give the parents, we have a meeting with them once a month and we provide, we share with them what resources we have like they could get, um come into the pantry, they get computer training, they have ESL courses for them. They have intervention that we provide for them. We do the referrals for them. All they have to do is to sign a release form, but we can do that for them. Um And we also, if there's anything we can help the pit with, you know, any personal stuff, then we're there to listen to them and All right, sounds good. Thank you guys so much. News Twelve's Lindsay Tanny is getting us some lunch right now. So Lindsay, what's going on over there? Lots of amazing food to try here. But first, I'm with the co owner of Lera I Pollo Sabrosa Restaurant. Rafael. So tell me why did you open up this restaurant? Why, why you opening the restaurant? Because I see in the community many times and I see a Spanish restaurant in the area where I see many people like Spanish food. So that's the reason basilio in me, we open the restaurant in this part of the community. Amazing. So we have such an amazing display of food here. Tell me what is all this. So we have the most population food in the area or the people like it. We have a roasted chicken baked chicken that's delicious. Many people like with always anytime we have the other more popular is peril roast for if you see that is juicy and crispy. When you taste it, when you buy the crispy, it's crunchy. What is it? That's a, it's most popular uh, dishes and the Spanish food. Dominican food. That's many people like if you do uh, as people, everybody like as, and then what about beans over here? We have the red beans also. Red beans for Italian black beans. Dominican soup, Sancho, the soup and the San Coo. You any time you have to with the rice and beans and Sancho the main thing. So what's your favorite out of all this? My favorite. We, we favorite it. We can always favor it, but the Ros four is the most like in me. OK? So that means we have to try it. So let's take our forks. OK. Let's take a bite and see how it is since it's your favorite. OK. Cheers. Wow. Amazing. So good chefs there. You had it, sending it back to you guys in the studio.
