There is a WIND ADVISORY in effect for inland counties due to strong gusts upwards 30-50mph at times through today.

There is a WIND WARNING in effect for coastal areas as gusts can reach up to 60 mph.

There is a COASTAL FLOOD WARNING in effect for the NJ coastline due to moderate to major flooding at high tide cycles through today as a result of a storm.

Wind-driven swells continue to batter down on the beaches of New Jersey.

Coastal gusts will be 40-60 mph throughout today with high surf, and breaking washes strong enough to erode beaches and breach the dunes. The water will spill into the streets in the most prone areas of New Jersey, especially at high tide this afternoon near 2 p.m.

Inland conditions won't see major impacts, but likely will see minor due to the weaker, but still strong wind. Inland gusts near 20-40 mph are expected today.

Rain falls across the state but truly doesn't produce a big problem. In fact, the rain is more beneficial to the environment than it is anything else. Sure, it's annoying, but it's been very dry.

The weather slowly improves through Tuesday with windy weather, but the rain stops.

Clouds eventually part for midweek with lots of sunshine and seasonable temperatures.
