Snowy conditions blanket Connecticut this morning with plowable snow. Cleanup won't be extreme but will take some time as up to 3-5 inches of snow has fallen. The snow is great for the kids to play in, but not to travel as many roads need some time to recover. Afternoon sun doesn't warm temperatures, so the snow sticks around and turns to ice, especially if untreated.
Icy and slippery conditions continue into tomorrow morning because of the cold temperatures. Lows reach the teens and feel like temperatures can be near 0 in some spots. Temperatures barely rebound tomorrow as it remains cold int he 20s.
It will begin to feel better later in the week as temperatures approach the upper 40s - near 50 for Thursday ahead of the next weather system, which will be rain that moves across the area into Friday. Rain can be heavy.
