WEEKEND WEATHER: We're tracking a large storm this weekend that will bring some winter weather this evening & then a flood and wind damage risk for Sunday. A high wind watch is in effect for the city for Sunday afternoon and evening. Wind gusts may reach 50 mph causing power outages and downed trees.
OVERNIGHT: Steady wet snow this evening will cause winter driving conditions through 9 pm with 1 to 2" of snow expected. Temperatures climb into the upper 30s overnight and snow showers will transition into steady rain.
SUNDAY: Sunday morning will bring fog and rain showers with temperatures near 40 degrees. A few breaks in the rain is expected midday with highs approaching the 50s. A burst of heavy rain is expected Sunday afternoon and then very gusty winds Sunday evening. Wind gusts may reach 50 mph.
MONDAY: Temperatures crash for President’s Day and remain cold for most of next week. Monday is windy with highs in the mid-30s. Tuesday & Wednesday are in the 20s for afternoon highs.
ANOTHER STORM: We're watching another coastal storm for Thursday. Temperatures are cold enough for an all-snow event, but there is still uncertainty about how close the storm will be to the city. However, there is the potential for this to be the largest snowstorm of the season for our area. Stay tuned for the latest developments.
