ALERTS: Winter Storm Watch - northern Litchfield County for Tuesday
FORECAST:
Sunshine is back to start a new week and a new month! However, it will be short-lived as the first winter storm of the season is on our doorstep.
The most impactful day in the forecast is by far Tuesday. A wintry mix early Tuesday will quickly change to a cold, steady rain, leading to messy travel and slowing the morning and midday commute. Precipitation moves in between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. and moves out between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Several inches of snow are possible north of I-84.
A few icy spots are possible late Tuesday night as temperatures drop below freezing. The remainder of the week brings seasonably cool temperatures and brighter skies, but Tuesday is the day to plan around.
Today: Bright and brisk with sunshine and highs ranging from the low to mid-40s.
Tuesday: Highest impact day. A rain–snow mix early shifts to a chilly, steady rain. Expect slick spots early and slow travel through the day. Highs in the low to mid-40s.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy and seasonable, reaching the low to mid-40s.
Friday: Mostly sunny but cold, with highs only in the low to mid-30s.
