A wind advisory is in effect until 4 a.m Tuesday. Winds may gust up to 50 mph out ahead of a strong cold front. Thunderstorms may also bring localized damaging gusts tonight.
A flood watch is in effect until 8 a.m Tuesday.
Strong thunderstorms are possible through the evening. Storms may contain strong winds over 50 mph and drenching downpours. There is the possibility of small hail. Take shelter when these storms hit.
An inch of rain is possible, which may lead to flash flooding in urban areas and low-lying spots with poor drainage. Runoff may also lead to river flooding.
Much colder weather will follow the storms, with a strong cold front for Tuesday and Wednesday. High temperatures tomorrow for St. Patrick's Day will only reach about 40 degrees.
It will feel cooler with the wind. The coldest day will be Wednesday, with high temperatures in the upper 30s. Nighttime temperatures will feel really cold, with lows in the 20s.
Friday is the start of astronomical spring with seasonable temperatures around 50 degrees.
The next chance of showers is Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the upper 40s.
