A Spring Valley man is facing charges following a stabbing over the weekend, police say.
Police responded to 94 Main St. on Oct. 17 just before 9 p.m. for reports of a stabbing. Officers found a 36-year-old man who had been stabbed in the left arm and was experiencing significant bleeding.
Officials say they used a tourniquet to control the bleeding. The man was taken to Westchester Medical Center.
Police arrested Alex Draughn on Wednesday and charged him with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Detectives say the two men had a dispute prior to the stabbing.
Draughn was arraigned in the Village of Spring Valley Justice Court and taken to Rockland County Jail.
