Both southbound lanes of the Saw Mill River Parkway near Lawrence Street in Dobbs Ferry reopened after a fallen tree blocked the roadway.

The tree fell across the parkway, forcing the closure of all southbound traffic.

Officials urged drivers to avoid the area while crews worked to remove the tree and clear the roadway.

The parkway reopened at about 12:45 p.m. after the tree was removed and the road was cleared.
