A police investigation is underway in Yonkers this morning.

Police have taped off an area near North Broadway and Ashburton Avenue.

News 12 crews on the scene observed investigators searching around bushes outside a property at 175 North Broadway.

A police official at the scene said no information could be released at this time.

Authorities have not confirmed what prompted the police response.

A portion of North Broadway remains closed while officers continue working in the area. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

News 12 has also reached out to the Yonkers Police Department for additional information.
