Firefighters in Elizabeth responded Saturday morning to a fire at a duplex.
It happened on Stiles Street around 9 a.m.
Video taken by a resident showed heavy fire and black smoke coming out of several windows on the top floor.
A neighbor told News 12 she saw people jumping from the windows to escape.
"All of the sudden I heard screaming and when I looked through my window I saw smoke and people jumping from windows, a lot of smoke from the second floor and a lot of screaming," said Ana Merino.
It's not clear how the fire started or if there are any injuries.
