        Red Hook schools have launched a new solar project, transitioning to renewable energy.
        Officials say approximately 30% of the school district's energy will now come from solar panels installed on school building roofs.
        The $1.7 million project was marked complete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Mill Road Elementary School.
        The solar panels are expected to last 25 years.
