Ralphie has endured a lot in his short life, but volunteers at Heart & Soul Dog Rescue say he's on the mend and ready to be part of a loving family.
"This poor boy has endured more pain than he ever should have," workers from the rescue told News 12. "We have been working closely with our vet to get the severe allergies under control and he's on the mend."
He's been dealing with a skin condition and is undergoing treatment and is responding well.
Ralphie is very friendly, gentle and "goofy." He loves adults as well as children and volunteers say he's also dog friendly, although they recommend having existing family pets do a meet and greet before adoption. Ideally, a family with children age 7 or older would be ideal, mainly due to Ralphie's size.
This affectionate pup is housebroken and crate trained. The rescue says he also knows a lot of basic commands.
