Community members say Kelly Park Playground in Sheepshead Bay has been riddled with reckless moped driving inside the park.
They say there are sometimes up to 20 kids and multiple mopeds.
News 12 crews also witnessed a few moped drivers there, too.
People, like Oscar Fennell, say he's worried for his kid's safety
“It’s dangerous, they come here with their mask on and they’re popping wheelies back and forth they’re going to end up hurting someone or killing someone," said Fennell.
Residents say they've made multiple 311 complaints and called police, but the issue persists.
A few of the parents News 12 spoke to wanted to remain anonymous because they say they are afraid of the group.
One mother says when the group is asked to stop, sometimes it only makes it worse.
“If my kid is here, they’re like right next to her and they don't apologize. I’m not even kidding. I don’t feel safe as a mom to bring her out. This is not where they need to be driving honestly, they have streets they have roads the park is not the place to have a motorcycle and there are kids around," she said.
News 12 reached out to the police and the New York City Parks Department about the issue but has not yet heard back.
