Rainy and windy weather is causing traveling issues in New Jersey – particularly at Newark Liberty International Airport.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the delays and cancellations are due to stormy conditions along the East Coast – including wind and low visibility.
Newark Liberty officials say the average delays are more than three hours as of Wednesday afternoon.
The issues occur a little more than a week before the official holiday travel period. AAA is projecting record-setting travel during this period.
Air travelers are advised to arrive at the airport early and to check with their airlines about the status of their flights.
