OVERNIGHT: A colder and cloudy night is on the way. Rain narrowly misses the borough but will help bring more cold weather later this week.
WEDNESDAY: Some sun will return Wednesday morning, but the daytime will be partly- to-mostly cloudy. There is some leftover storm energy that may spark a pop-up rain shower between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. – otherwise it will remain dry. It gets even colder Wednesday night with lows down into the mid-30s.
THURSDAY: The Thursday morning commute will be the coldest all week, with feels-like temperatures in the 20s because of 20 to 30 mph gusts likely. It is not downright windy, but enough to add an extra chill to the air. Watch for an elevated risk for brush fires or tougher firefighting conditions.
FRIDAY/WEEKEND: The noticeable wind continues through Friday. A few showers are possible Friday night and Saturday morning, otherwise it remains mild and mostly cloudy to start the weekend. All eyes turn to a potential surge of June-like warmth Saturday afternoon, depending on the placement of a stationary front that will divide winterlike and June-like warmth. Check back here for an in-depth look at what this could mean for this weekend's forecast.
