Overall, it is a decent Friday today and the warmer afternoon weather begins today. Highs will be in the lower 60s with clouds increasing ahead of spotty light rain showers between around 8 p.m. and just after midnight.
PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE — We have been watching the cloud coverage for this brief event tomorrow morning all week and it finally looks like clouds may clear enough to be able to view this while looking east tomorrow morning between around 6:40 a.m. and just after 7 a.m. YOU MUST WEAR PROPER EYE PROTECTION TO KEEP YOUR EYES SAFE! DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY INTO THE SUN! The moon will eclipse the sun by around 24% across the lower Hudson Valley at the peak around 6:45 a.m.
WEEKEND WEATHER
It will simply feel like June tomorrow with highs soaring into the 70s. A few spots like Yonkers and areas west of the Hudson River may touch 80 degrees. While there can be a brief shower tomorrow, most of the daylight hours will be dry. Enjoy! Sunday will be mild, but cooler and cloudy with highs around 59 degrees and a few spotty light rain showers possible.
MONDAY'S UNSETTLED WEATHER
Monday will feature clouds and some breaks of sun. There will be a few showers throughout the day, but the best chance for showers and a thunderstorm will be in the evening. We certainly need some substantial rain with the lower Hudson Valley still experiencing a moderate to severe drought.
THE REST OF NEXT WEEK:
Decent for Tuesday and Wednesday, but cooler with highs closer to 50 degrees ahead of a rainy start to Thursday.

SATURDAY: EARLY MORNING PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE — Please use proper eye protection if attempting to view the eclipse between around 6:40 a.m. and 7:05 a.m. Weather-wise, the day is mostly excellent! It will feel like early June! There can be a brief passing rain shower, but much of the day is dry with a mix of sun and clouds. Make outdoor plans if you can! Highs around 77 degrees. Record high in White Plains is 79 degrees set back in 1998. Lows near 46 degrees with a couple of passing showers overnight.
SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy with a few spotty showers possible. Not a washout. Highs around 59 degrees. Lows near 51 degrees.
MONDAY: Mostly cloudy with a few showers and a thunderstorm possible, especially in the evening. Highs around 70 degrees. Lows near 42 degrees.
