Camden County officials are warning residents after a rabid raccoon was found in Voorhees.

A resident's dog came face-to-face with the infected animal earlier this month.

Thanks to an up-to-date rabies shot, the dog is safe.

No people were exposed, according to health officials.

Residents are urged to keep pets vaccinated and avoid contact with wildlife.
