An East Brunswick man is facing charges for allegedly killing his wife.
The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office says that 60-year-old Ashraf Tawfik walked into the East Brunswick police headquarters on Feb. 28 and admitted to killing his wife.
Officials say that when East Brunswick police officers responded to the home on Yorktown Road, they found 58-year-old Marsail Botros dead. The cause and manner of the death were not immediately provided.
Tawfik was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including first-degree murder. He is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center.
