George Martin’s Grillfire is soon closing its doors.

Its last day open for business will be Jan. 15.

George Korten, president of George Martin Group, said they’ve been “making terrific efforts in trying to come to some sort of sustainable deal with the landlord and it was just not successful.”

He said the restaurant’s been busy, with many people coming to have their last meal and show their support.

“It brings a tear to your eye,” Korten said. “It makes you appreciate all the wonderful people in the community, and the staff ,and everyone’s that’s been involved…It’s quite moving.”
