Hours are being extended at several state parks and pools across the Hudson Valley to help residents stay cool during the latest stretch of extreme heat.
That includes the pools at Rockland Lake State Park in Valley Cottage, Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park in Yorktown Heights, and Bear Mountain State Park. The extended hours will remain in effect through Wednesday.
As News 12 reported Monday, Westchester County pools and beaches will also stay open an hour later. All of them will operate from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. through Wednesday.
