Police: Student robbed in high school parking lot, 3 people sought

Police say an adult male student was approached by three unknown males, all wearing ski masks and dark colored clothing, who proceeded to assault the victim and take $40 as well as his bookbag containing his school laptop and other items.

Maplewood police are searching for three people they say assaulted and robbed a high school student.
On Monday morning at 8:21 a.m. Maplewood police officers responded to the Columbia High School West Parker Avenue student parking lot for a report of a robbery.
Police say an adult male student was approached by three unknown males, all wearing ski masks and dark colored clothing, who proceeded to assault the victim and take $40 as well as his bookbag containing his school laptop and other items.
The three unknown males fled in a white Kia sedan, with a broken rear passenger side window, which police say was later recovered unoccupied in Newark.
Police say the victim did not sustain any injuries and the Maplewood Police Department will be taking the appropriate steps to keep the students and faculty safe.
