        Police: Stamford man charged with DWI, hit-and-run in New Rochelle crash

        Authorities say Rogelio Salamanca-Lopez's pickup truck exited I-95 Northbound at Exit 16 and collided head-on with a Toyota sedan at the intersection of Garden Street and Cottage Place Sept. 4.

        A Stamford, Connecticut, man has been arrested by New Rochelle police in a DWI hit-and-run accident.
        Authorities say Rogelio Salamanca-Lopez's pickup truck exited I-95 Northbound at Exit 16 and collided head-on with a Toyota sedan at the intersection of Garden Street and Cottage Place Sept. 4. The driver then allegedly fled the scene.
        The two occupants of the Toyota suffered minor injuries and were hospitalized.
        Officers located Salamanca-Lopez at the New Rochelle Train Station and took him into custody.
