Police seize 223 grams of meth, fentanyl and pills during Stamford narcotics investigation
A Stamford narcotics investigation led to the seizure of more than 220 grams of suspected methamphetamine and the arrest of a city man, police said.
Detectives with the Stamford Police Department's Narcotics & Organized Crime Unit developed information that Ronald Buquet was staying at a local hotel and allegedly possessed a large quantity of crystal methamphetamine.
After obtaining a search warrant, detectives found about 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl and pills on Buquet, according to police.
A search of the hotel room uncovered another 173.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine, along with packaging materials and other evidence consistent with drug distribution.
In total, police said they seized about 223.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Buquet was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, operation of a drug factory and possession of a facsimile firearm. He was held on $100,000 bond.
