Police are looking for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Longwood.

They say 56-year-old AlHadji Fofana was struck and killed by a stolen Ford van while crossing the street Wednesday.

The driver reportedly tried to set the van on fire before fleeing on foot.

Community members have raised concerns about the dangerous intersection where the crash occurred, with speeding cars and confusing traffic patterns.

Alexa Sledge, from Transportation Alternatives, called the intersection “a crash waiting to happen.”

Police are still searching for the suspect and urge anyone with information to contact them.
