The NYPD has released new images of the person they say fatally stabbed a man on a shuttle bus in Cypress Hills on Sunday.

The suspect was caught on surveillance footage from the J90 shuttle bus wearing a black shirt, gray hooded sweatshirt, and a necklace with a cross pendant. In one of his hands, what appears to be a knife is visible, though police have not confirmed if that is the weapon used in the attack.

The victim, 41-year-old Alvin Francis of Queens, was stabbed in the stomach during an argument onboard the bus while it was stopped on Crescent and Etna streets. He was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he later died.

On Monday, Francis’ family released a public statement, saying in part:

They are asking for privacy and say they trust law enforcement to deliver justice.
