Jury selection begins today for the upcoming trial of a former Norwalk official accused of killing her tenant.
Ellen Wink, a former Norwalk Republican deputy registrar of voters, is charged with murder in the deadly January 2022 shooting of Kurt Lametta.
Lametta was living in a home Wink owned on Nelson Avenue. The two had a history of problems after Lametta allegedly stopped paying rent in September 2020 and Wink wanted him out.
Wink's attorney said they’re considering multiple defenses, including extreme emotional disturbance, mental disease or defect and self-defense.
The trial is set for the first week of June. News 12’s Marissa Alter will have more in later newscasts.
