Police identify man killed in Mott Haven shooting

Police say they were called to the scene just before 6 p.m. in the middle of the after-work rush.

Police identified the 27-year-old man who was shot and killed Wednesday night on Alexander Avenue as John Martinez of The Bronx steps away from a parole office.
Police say they were called to the scene just before 6 p.m. in the middle of the after-work rush. This all happening at the intersection of Alexander Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard.
Police say when they got to the scene, they found 27-year-old Martinez shot multiple times in his torso. He was rushed to the hospital where he later died.
