Former New England Patriots wide receiver Cedric Jones is the headliner at an annual charity breakfast Thursday, benefiting Stamford-based charity Kids Helping Kids.
Jones spent nine seasons in the NFL during the 80s and also played in a Super Bowl with New England.
Kids Helping Kids was founded in 2009 and focuses on having local kids develop leadership skills by having them create, plan, and then lead their own community service projects, which are aimed at helping other kids around Fairfield County.
As someone who knows about working in a team and having success, Jones will be providing some inspiration with his speech. While he grew up in Virginia and North Carolina, he now lives in the area and has been the athletic director at the Brunswick School in Greenwich since 2021.
All the money raised from the breakfast will be going to support Kids Helping Kids.
