Pleasantville officials say their Farmers Market has been canceled for Saturday due to extreme cold conditions.

Organizers said they tracked the forecast throughout the week and expected snow and large gusts of wind.

The snow was expected to create difficult driving conditions for vendors and customers, organizers said.

They said projected winds could make the event itself extremely dangerous because vendors need tents to protect their products.

Feels-like temperatures were expected to be in the low single digits, making conditions more uncomfortable and difficult for everyone, organizers said.
