News 12 received calls from concerned parents about a social media post that quickly caused panic at KIPP middle school along East 156th Street on Monday.
Authorities say the threat was made to someone at the school via Snapchat.
Although the threat wasn't to the school, it still raised concern.
A NYC KIPP spokesperson tells News 12 in part, "As the safety of our community is paramount, we take all threats seriously and have implemented several steps to ensure the safety of our entire community, including security enhancements."
