Officials: Wildfire near Lakewood Country Club burns 33 acres of land
23h agowildfire near Pine Park and the Lakewood Country Club in Lakewood is now 75% contained, according to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service.
Officials say the fire, which began Monday afternoon, has burned 35 acres of land.
Clearstream Road has reopened after previously being closed due to the fire.
No homes are in danger and no evacuation orders were issued.
Officials say the Forest Fire Service will remain on the scene to help extinguish the fire.
State fire restrictions remain in effect due to the lack of rain and dryness of the ground.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
