1h agoAn open-air art gallery is coming to downtown Rye this weekend.
The event, dubbed "Art for Purchase", will feature more than 25 artists showcasing their work along Purchase Street.
"We were very lucky to have businesses that support the arts, in particular, support the Rye Arts Center," says Adam Levi, executive director for the Rye Arts Center. "And this is our way of just making sure we can connect all the dots — artist outreach along with just boosting the local economy."
The event kicks off at noon on Saturday and will also feature music and art activities for families.
A portion of the sales will benefit scholarships and programs at the arts center.
