State officials rallied with school leaders Wednesday, calling for the state's Universal School Meals program to be fully funded in the next state budget.
They believe it will cost upwards of $150 million.
Elected officials say more than 145,000 students in 276 schools on Long Island do not have access to the program due to household income requirements.
