No injuries were reported, but the house suffered extensive damage.
Firefighters say the call came in just before 9 p.m. Monday.
According to the Long Beach Fire Department, the fire started in the laundry room on the first floor and spread to the second floor and the attic.
More than half a dozen other departments responded to help.
The fire was under control shortly before 10 p.m.
