        NYPD: Teen slashed while walking home from school in Belmont

        Police sources say it appears to be a school-related incident.

        A suspect slashed the face of 15-year-old boy walking home from Theodore Roosevelt High School Thursday in Belmont, according to police.
        Authorities say it happened just before 3 p.m. on East Fordham Road and Bathgate Avenue.
        The victim was hospitalized but is expected to be OK.
        Police sources say it appears to be a school-related incident.
        No arrests have been made as of Friday afternoon.
