A Fort Lee man has been charged in connection to a deadly hit-and-run crash in North Bergen.

Officials say the incident happened Monday at the intersection of Tonnelle Avenue and 91st Street. They say 24-year-old Maximo Rodriguez struck and killed 52-year-old Nestor Naira-Ojeda. The victim died at the scene.

Officials say a second vehicle was also involved in the crash. That driver remained on the scene, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.

Rodriguez was charged with knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle collision resulting in death.
