Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who punched a woman aboard a bus in Wakefield on Dec. 14.

Authorities say the victim was approached by the suspect on the Bx39 bus in front of 865 East 241 St.

The two got into a verbal argument that ended with the suspect punching her in the face before fleeing the scene on foot.
