New Jersey Transit has issued a stern warning to the public after three of its employees were assaulted.
The first incident was in February, when a man hit a bus driver in the face at Deptford Mall.
The second happened last Friday on the New Jersey Coast Line train. A passenger attacked two conductors over a fare argument.
The passenger, identified as Xavier Dennis, of Long Branch, is now facing charges.
NJ Transit president and CEO Kris Kolluri issued a statement following the attacks:
"Anyone contemplating harm to our frontline employees will be caught, arrested and face the maximum penalties allowed by law,” he said.
